“We are in the Anthropocene, a pivotal era in history
where humanity holds the power to determine its own
fate. Consumers are now open to a dif ferent kind of design.
Working with recycled materials is an engagement
with the unexpected, the genuine, and the sincere.
There’s a sort of magic that emanates from this approach.
At a hotel, I appreciate being plunged into an environment
that astonishes me and transports me elsewhere.
My hospitality pavilion for Maison&Objet is a declaration
where each material has been reimagined through the
prism of a designer, transforming it into a unique and
esteemed object. Beyond the realm of design, visitors will
that there exists an alternate way to construct realities.”
« Nous sommes dans l’Anthropocène, le moment
de l’histoire où l’homme a le pouvoir de prendre en main
son destin. Les consommateurs sont prêts à accepter
un design dif férent. Travailler avec des matériaux recyclés,
c’est jouer avec l’inattendu, le vrai et l’honnête. Il en émane
une sorte de magie. À l’hôtel, j’aime être plongé dans
un univers qui me surprend et m’emmène ailleurs.
Mon pavillon d’hospitalité pour Maison&Objet est un
manifeste où chaque matériau est passé par le prisme
d’un créateur qui en aura fait un objet unique et noble.
Au-delà du design, le visiteur comprendra qu’il existe
une autre manière de construire les choses. »
